Farm on the Point the beginning

When veering off Route 206 to head into Vincentown, NJ you come to the most beautifully maintained 1800’s farm. This farm has gone by the name “Farm on the Point” because part of the farm sits on “a point” with Route 206 on one side and Main St. , that was also referred to as “Mule Path” back in the day, on the other side of the farm. This Farm on the Point belonged to the Haines Family.

5th generation Ed and Helen Haines ran the farm as a dairy farm. 6th generation Bruce Haines ran it as a hay and grain farm. The last few years, 7th generation Bridget Haines, daughter to Bruce and Mary, grew the most beautiful sunflowers and produce on the 96 acre preserved farm.

Farm on the Point today

We, Danielle and Fred Wainwright, of Clover Valley Farm live on our home cattle farm right behind the Haines Farm with our 2 young sons.

In 2022 we reached a point that we needed to expand our home farm to accommodate the growing needs of our growing beef herd. We reached out to longtime friends Bridget and mama Mary to see if they were possibly interested in selling their farmland preserved farm to us so we could continue our farming journey.

To our most wonderful surprise they were interested.

With their permission, the “Farm on the Point” name stayed with the farm .

There are friends. There is family, and there are friends that become family❤
